City of Roswell Releases Show Schedule
Sunday, May 5th, 2013The City of Roswell Cultural Art Center has released it’s Summer Puppet Series Schedule. If you have not seen their productions, you are missing out! At Pigtails & Crewcuts Roswell, we love to find great deals for our little friends! We also love to support our community. There are many wonderful events that the City of Roswell puts on.
| Please Note: The Roswell Cultural Arts Center is now selling tickets online! Advance tickets for any show in the Puppet Series can be purchased by credit card online. For further ticket information, please call us at 770-594-6232. Tickets may be purchased, cash, check or charge, 30 minutes prior to show time at the Cultural Arts Center.Puppet Kits: Specially prepared kits will be available immediately following each performance for $5 each. |

June 3-8
“Wizard of Oz ” presented by Frisch Marionettes An inspiring story about unlocking the potential that exists within each of us! The WIZARD OF OZ is an American fairytale! This production is one of the company’s proudest achievements. Celebrate America’s rich musical heritage as you travel down the Yellow Brick Road with Dorothy to find out why a Lion,Tinman and Strawman are all singing the Blues.

| June 10-15 “The Reluctant Dragon” presented by All Hands ProductionsPrincess Penepole loves to read about dragons. Imagine her surprise when she actually meets and befriends a dragon! Their introduction coincides with the arrival of a much-touted dragon slayer, Sir Reginal Thwebes. Upon discovering the potential threat of a dragon in the palace, King Rhubarb charges Sir Reginald to fight the dragon. Will it be a fight to the death? Will it be a draw? Will they even fight at all? |

June 17-22
“Stinky Cheese Man” presented by Paul Mesner The story contains zany versions of classic tales. You will have fun with Jack, the narrator, who takes you through the twists and turns of this wacky tale. Learn the real story of Chicken Licken or is that Chicken Little? And then there is Cinderumpelstiltskin. Will she have to spin her own dress? Will she go to the ball? The Really Ugly Duckling will make you laugh and cry and everyone will leave with a somewhat revised view of that Little Red Hen.

| June 24-29 “The Velveteen Rabbit” presented by Applause UnlimitedWith gentle humor and warmth, Margery Williams’ classic tale of a toy rabbit that dreams of becoming real is told with hand puppets, storytelling, and song by a solo puppeteer. It is a story about friendship, changes, magic, and what it means to love and be loved. A popular show for the young and young at heart, it is of particular interest to children and their parents, youngsters learning to read, and anyone who has ever had a favorite stuffed toy. |
