Where are you from originally?

• I was born in Anchorage, Alaska. I grew up in a small town in Ohio.

Best/Craziest/Wackiest/Cutest thing that one of the kids have said or done before, during, or after a haircut?

• While I was cutting a little girl’s hair she was “driving” with her knees and pretending to text on a phone. I asked her what she was doing and she said “I am driving and texting like mommy!”

Do you have kids?

• Yes, I a have a baby girl who just turned a year old.

Your favorite thing about Pigtails & Crewcuts?

• I love the laid back environment. I am thankful that I have a job that I love and I enjoy going into work.

How long have you been with Pigtails & Crewcuts?

• I have been here since the doors opened in 2007. I can not beleive that it will be six years in May!

What made you want to work with kids?

• Before I finished beauty school I was a tutor, and a subsititute teacher. After, I worked in salons in the nursing homes. That kind of patience is needed in these areas and I realized that I had it. Seeing children accomplish goals like their first haircuts or their first time using the clippers is an experiene that could equal up to no amount of money.

Do you have kids?

• No… just never happened, but I have recieved somuch love from the children I see at Pigatils & Crewcuts regularly. I often refer to them as “my babies”

Best/craziest/wackiest/cutest thing that one of the kids has said or done befre during or after a haircut?

• The cutest thing was a child ran ahead of his mom to enter the salon. He bolted through the doors and yelled “Mommy, Mommy! There she is (pointing at me) thats the lady who gives me the best haircuts ever!” It brightened my entire day.

Where are you originally from?

• I am orignially from Memphis, Tennessee, but the navy brought me here.

What is your “secret weapon” to get a child to stop crying before or during the haircut?

• I sing Elmo’s LALA song to help calm them down, I also give them animal crackers or lollipops.

How long have you been with Pigtails & Crewcuts?

• I have been with Pigtails & Crewcuts for almost six years now.

What is your favorite thing about Pigtails & Crewcuts?

• I would have to say that my favorite thing about it is that the kids tell you exactly what they are thinking and how they feel.

This Thursday, September 20,2012, from 10 to 5  is  *Family Day*!   Bring the whole family in on Sept. 20 from 10 to 5 and pay full price for the first haircut, $2 OFF the second haircut, $4 OFF the third haircut, $6 OFF the fourth haircut, etc…

Don’t worry though, if this Thursday is not a good day for you we also have *Double Punch Tuesdays*! Bring your punch card in to receive TWO punches for each haircut! and this is every Tuesday.
