Today I had the priviledge of serving lunch at MUST Ministries. Member  of my Sunday School prepared the meals and a number of volunteers,    including myself, served 82 folks a hot meal prepared with love. We  welcomed the crowd with a smile and were met with eyes filled with  gratitude. A gentle smile, genuine appreciation. They were people, just      like you and me. Finding the joy in this one meal.

Who they are: They are us.

As I greeted each person, and served them with a smile, I found myself being grateful for all the blessings in my life, including the opportunity to give back. Once again, I realized that truly, there was so much more in it for me than for them. It felt good to share a smile. It felt good to do for others. It felt good to serve. They are a part of my community and I do believe it takes a village.

It occurred to me that we can do better than we have done in the past. In the past we have done Food Drives for Must Ministries and we have done OK. I think YOU can help us do GREAT! You can give help, by simply looking in your pantry and bringing in a few things that you may not need right at this moment. Perhaps you are going to the grocery store today, why  not look for for the sales?

I have been thinking about what to give up for Lent and I decided that instead of giving something up like chocolate or coffee, I would would pick up the habit of looking at life thru others eyes. Today I am hoping that you will join me on this journey and be the help and changing agent to make a difference!
